Basic Foundations Week 8

Yo animating junkies,

Here I am at Week 8 at Animation Mentor and this weeks assignment was to start our first walk cycle. they call it the Vanilla Walk which basically means a basic everyday walk. I learned a lot from this assignment since I always animated walk cycles in place and now I get the real hang of things.

Here is what I have so far... Feel free to leave me some critique and feedback its still in stepped key mode.

Basic Foundations Week 6

WOw time flies by when you are animating a new scene and shot every week. This place really gets you ready for the industry.... So here I am at Week 6 of my online classes at Animation Mentor and this weeks assignment was to animate a pendulum so here she is :-)

Basic Foundations Week 5

Its week 5 and this week's assignment was to create a pose that portrays " DEVASTATION "

devastation

Also we got a obstacle course and I changed it and had their main character hold it up :-) The main goal of the assignment was to have the ball bounce through the obstacle course realistically
after it jumps and falls....

Here is my planning sketches
Animation Planning Sketches

I had the most fun with this animation so far out of the bunch. I also decided to send a crazy amount of private messages to all sorts of students and peer buddies to get as much feedback and critique as possible. It really paid off this week and my mentor's critique was awesome. ANy whoo here is what I have so far...

Basic Foundations Week 4

I need to catch up with all this blogging craziness.... Week 4 is over and this weeks assignment was to create a animation that showed the difference between a heavy ball and lighter ball like a tennis ball or soccer ball something like that...... I got some great feedback and a awesome video critique from my mentor Martin Hopkins. I want to watch his video critique again and re visit this shot but for now here is what she looks like :-)
